Program

Dr. Turki will discuss the U.S.-Saudi relationship and the ways in which it can and should transition from one based primarily on security to one that focuses instead on sustainable development for the benefit of the Gulf region and the broader global community.

Dr. Cuello will discuss sustainable agriculture and the engineering of sustainable biological and agricultural systems as part of his work as the Director of the Global Initiative for Strategic Agriculture in Dry Lands (GISAD) at the University of Arizona.

Speakers

Turki Faisal Al Rasheed is a prominent Saudi businessman and adjunct professor at the University of Arizona. He is the Chairman and the Founder of Golden Grass Incorporated in Riyadh. He is a Board Member of the National Agriculture Development Company (NADEC), an Agriculture Committee of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce.

Joel Cuello, a professor at the University of Arizona's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is a globally recognized expert in the engineering of sustainable biological and agricultural innovations. His technical expertise in both engineering and biology provides the platform for the engineering of agricultural and biological systems with emphasis in optimizing performance while fostering resource sustainability and environmental protection.
