How to Use the Collection

The Collection includes nearly 1,400 books from his personal collection and an archival collection of approximately 20 linear feet of papers that RAND Knowledge Services has cataloged for the benefit of the research community. A finding aid is available as a free, downloadable PDF to help researchers explore the collection.

To access the papers and books in the Collection, please complete the following form. Fields in bold print are required.

Please note:

  • Permission to use the Archives is granted at the discretion of the Archives manager, and is granted for the applicant alone, and only for the purpose stated in this application. RAND reserves the right in its sole discretion to deny access to the RAND Archives or to revoke access previously granted.
  • You must provide to the RAND Corporation Library a complimentary copy of any published work in which information from the Collection is used.
